Robert Pattinson Says Breaking Dawn is a Go

Surprise, surprise. The fourth book of the Twilight saga will indeed become a movie...like we ever doubted it would happen. Why would Summit Entertainment, the production company responsible for the films, opt not to bring Breaking Dawn to life on the screen when the Twilight franchise is such a cash cow? Not milking what's likely to be the last Twilight book (unless author Stephenie Meyer finishes up Midnight Sun) for all its worth would be denying fans the chance to see Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart take the ultimate step in securing their relationship (no spoilers here) - and it would be denying the studio a hefty profit. I can't see any studio thinking it would be a wise business decision to make just three out of the four Twilight films, even given the fact the fourth movie is going to require some really tricky CG work in order to follow Meyer's storyline.

In Cannes on his way to shoot New Moon's Italy scenes, Robert Pattinson told The Hollywood Reporter he'll be back for the fourth film but he didn't know when they'd be able to start filming because of his busy schedule. Pattinson's attached to star in Remember Me in between finishing up New Moon and finishing up the third film of the Twilight series, Eclipse. Pattinson also revealed Edward will in fact play a larger role in New Moon the film than he did in Meyer's book. "You're playing a figment in Bella's imagination so I was trying to do it in a 2-D way," Pattinson said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. "I hope it doesn't translate onscreen as being boring." I'm thinking Twilight fans won't label anything Pattinson does 'boring'.
