This bit of casting news won't mean a thing to anyone who's not into the Twilight saga. Summit Entertainment has officially confirmed they've hired a group of Native American/First Nation actors to take on the characters who are part of the 'wolf pack' in the second Twilight movie, New Moon. Chaske Spencer (Sioux), Bronson Pelletier (Cree-Metis), Alex Meraz (Tarasco), Kiowa Gordon (Hualapai) and Tyson Houseman (Cree) will be joining Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and Robert Pattinson in New Moon directed by Chris Weitz (The Golden Compass) and based on Stephenie Meyer's second book of the series. Casting Native American actors in these key roles in the second film of the franchise is definitely the best way to avoid the controversy that swirled around Taylor Lautner's casting as Quileute tribe member Jacob in Twilight.(Photo © Summit Entertainment)
