Percy Jackson Cast Coming Together

Sean Bean as Zeus, Uma Thurman as Medusa, and Kevin McKidd (a personal fav of mine following his incredible work on Rome and Journeyman) as Poseidon. Can I get in line for a ticket now? I don't even care what Percy Jackson is about, I'm sold just by reading that cast list. And adding on Pierce Brosnan, who hopefully will not be singing, as Greek God Chiron the Centaur and Melina Kanakaredes as Athena only ups my interest in this Fox 2000 project.Chris Columbus (Rent and the upcoming comedy I Love You, Beth Cooper) is set to direct Percy Jackson from a screenplay he adapted with Craig Titley from Rick Riordan's bestseller, The Lightning Thief. If all goes well at the box office, the studio will be turning all five of Riordan's books in the series into feature films. Filming on Percy Jackson, with Logan Lerman in place in the title role, is expected to begin soon as the studio's aiming for an early 2010 release.
Riordan's official site has this synopsis for his book The Lightning Thief: "What if the gods of Olympus were alive in the 21st Century? What if they still fell in love with mortals and had children who might become great heroes - like Theseus, Jason and Hercules? What if you were one of those children? Such is the discovery that launches twelve-year-old Percy Jackson on the most dangerous quest of his life. With the help of a satyr and a daughter of Athena, Percy must journey across the United States to catch a thief who has stolen the original weapon of mass destruction – Zeus' master bolt. Along the way, he must face a host of mythological enemies determined to stop him. Most of all, he must come to terms with a father he has never known, and an Oracle that has warned him of betrayal by a friend."

Are you kidding? The cast is horrible! They are all WAY too old! They start out as 12 year olds and the actors look around sixteen. Annabeth is supposed to be BLONDE–they better die her hair–and she’ll probably look horrible anyway. And Grover is a black guy. Not that that matters too much, but he’s supposed to have ORANGE hair, and since when do black dudes have orange hair? Luke is perfect, though.
Grover never had orange hair and personally i think Jake Abel would’ve fit perfectly for Luke.
Well um im not too crazy about how all the “12″ year olds r really 16…if they’re gonna make more movies then they will prob be way too old by the time tue last movie will b out and it will kinda spoil the feel of them still just being kids in the middle of battle if they’re like in their 20’s.
I think the cast will be good. I just don’t like the choices, except Luke. Jake Abel is a good LUke. He just needs the scar.
I love the Percy Jackson series, but I’ m not too crazy about the casting. Jake Abel seems okay, but Grover is not black, Annabeth has blonde hair and is not in her twenties, nor does Percy look that old. Good luck on the movie though!
The actor playing Percy is 17.
The Actress playing Annabeth is 23.
and the actor playing Grover is 25.

OK I LOOOOOVE THE CAST BUT MAKE THE PPL YUNGR PLZ THEY R RECASTING I THINK I HOPE PERCZY AND LUKE’S ACTORS STAY DONT RUIN A GOOD BOOK PLZ AND WHAT HAPPENNED 2 CLARISSE?????? RIORDAN PICKED THE CAST SO I HAVE HIGH HOPES DONT FAIL ME RIORDAN.!!!

Oh my gosh i cant believe it they r all too old to be casted! and they r going to be like waay too old to cast something like the last movie so i hope that they re-cast sooooo many people. and annabeths blonde!!!! not whatever color that her hair is (i forgot wat color that the actresses hair was). and i didnt know 4 grover that they got a black dude! hes not supposed to be black! RECAST IMMEADITELY!!!! I FORGOT HOW TO SAY THAT WORD!!! IM SOOOOOO MAD AT THE CAST PICKERS THEY DID A REALLY BAD JOB AT PICKING PEOPLE!
They really change the cast, it should be the main characters of bridge to teribethia josh huctherson and annasophia robb!!!!!! & grover is not black
