Movie Review: Inkheart

Inkheart, based on Cornelia Funke's best-selling children's book, is a fast-paced adventure film aiming to draw the entire family into its fantasy world. Inkheart has flying monkeys, a unicorn, one super-smart ferret, a spooky villain known as The Shadow, and more literary references than you can shake a stick at. Yes, this high-flying tale has just about everything stuffed into its 1 hour and 45 minute running time, and that may be the film's downfall. There's so much to grasp adults may find themselves lost in the story and important aspects of the plot could sail right over kids' heads. But any movie with flying monkeys - and Toto, too! – can't be all bad, and Inkheart is definitely not all bad. Read More...(Photo © New Line Cinema)
