Monsters vs Aliens Makes Super Bowl History
Tuesday January 6, 2009

DreamWorks Animation and PepsiCo's SoBe Lifewater are breaking new ground at this year's Super Bowl (which I'm hoping my Chargers will be a part of). For the first time in history, Super Bowl viewers will be treated to a commercial break (aren't the commercials usually the best part of the game?) in which everything will be in 3D. DreamWorks will premiere its 3D Monsters vs Aliens trailer, and a 60-second SoBe commercial will also be seen in 3D. In addition to the Monsters vs Aliens and SoBe spots, NBC will air a special 3D episode of Chuck the day after the Super Bowl.
All Super Bowl viewers need to do in order to see the spots - and the Chuck episode - in glorious 3D is to pick up a free pair of 3D glasses. Intel, the company behind the 3D technology, made over 125 million pairs of the glasses and they're making them available in grocery stores and retail outlets near the SoBe Lifewater displays. If the store near you runs out, call 1-800-646-2904 to get a pair.
