Hollywood take note: live-action dog movies sell. Beverly Hills Chihuahua exceeded box office expectations, and now Marley and Me has made its way into the record books as the biggest Christmas Day release in history. Marley and Me's $14.8 million take on December 25th topped the previous Christmas Day record-holder, Ali, by $4 million. Bedtime Stories with Adam Sandler and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button starring a reverse-aging Brad Pitt also beat Ali's Christmas record. Overall it was a great holiday weekend for Hollywood, with only The Spirit not feeling the love. Even Tom Cruise's performance as a German officer out to kill Hitler did better than anticipated. The bad press surrounding Valkyrie didn't affect the film's box office take one bit. Top 10 Films for the Extended Holiday Weekend Ending December 28 (Estimates)

I went to see Marley and me with my little niece, it was so, so, nothing to brag about. Thanks goodness it made the money because it didnt do it for me. I went to see Ben Button, now that was a good movie. Brad should get an award for that.
