On the Red Carpet at the Twilight Premiere
Tuesday November 18, 2008
The cast of Twilight, director Catherine Hardwicke, and screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg made the night of November 17, 2008 one hundreds of Twilight fans will never forget. Pretty much everyone who is anyone in the movie version of Stephenie Meyer's bestselling book made their way - slowly - down the carpet at the film's Los Angeles premiere.
Most of the central characters from the film have been working their way around the world, appearing at premieres in Spain, Rome, and Mexico, as well as Hot Topic stores across the U.S. and assorted other locations. No matter where they showed up, Twilight fans turned out in incredible numbers (the crowd at San Francisco's Hot Topic event was so huge, police had to temporarily cancel the event). Los Angeles Twilight fans proved they're just as passionate about their favorite vampires and werewolves as fans from anywhere else around the planet, lining up in an orderly fashion up to 48 hours in advance to get a glimpse of the cast and other famous faces.
When not signing autographs or posing for photos, the Twilight cast talked up the first movie of what they hope will be a four film franchise:
Kristen Stewart ('Bella') and Ashley Greene ('Alice') Interviews
Kellan Lutz ('Emmett') Interview
Taylor Lautner ('Jacob') and Solomon Trimble ('Sam') Interviews
Jackson Rathbone ('Jasper') Interview
Billy Burke ('Charlie') and Gil Birmingham ('Billy') Interviews
Rachelle Lefevre ('Victoria') and Cam Gigandet ('James') Interviews
Elizabeth Reaser ('Esme') and Sarah Clarke ('Renee') Interviews
Justin Chon ('Eric'), Anna Kendrick ('Jessica') and Christian Serratos ('Angela')
