Maggie Gyllenhaal on The Dark Knight and Comic Books

Maggie Gyllenhaal (Secretary) steps into the role of Bruce Wayne's ex Rachel Dawes in The Dark Knight, the second Batman movie from writer/director Christopher Nolan. Rachel was also a central character in the 2005 blockbuster Batman Begins, however she was brought to life onscreen in that film by a different actress. Box Office Report - July 18-20
'Spectacular'...'One of the Best Comic Book-Inspired Movies Ever'...'Oscar-worthy'... Oh yeah, critics were tossing out the popular buzzwords and even turning to their thesauruses to come up with new words to use to praise The Dark Knight starring Christian Bale, Aaron Eckhart, and the late Heath Ledger. And based on its first weekend's record-breaking take in theaters, audience members were, for once, in agreement with the reviewers.
