The Warner Bros Pictures comedy Observe and Report finds Seth Rogen (one of the most sought after funny guys in Hollywood) playing Ronnie Barnhardt, a mall cop whose job is to 'observe and report'. He doesn't carry a gun and he doesn't have much real authority, but when a mini-crime wave strikes the mall he's assigned to protect, Ronnie's ready to solve the crime. Box Office Report - June 27-29
As anticipated, Pixar's latest engaging creation did boffo box office business. According to Variety, WALL-E now holds the record for the second biggest opening weekend in June. It's also the third best opening weekend for a Pixar movie behind The Incredibles and Finding Nemo. Also doing incredible box office business was the action thriller Wanted starring a buffed out James McAvoy and Angelina Jolie. Wanted surprised everyone - including Universal Pictures executives - with its $51 million opening.
