Emile Hirsch didn’t have to take part in a driving school in order to handle the role of Speed in Speed Racer, the latest action-packed adventure film from the Wachowski Brothers. All of Hirsch’s driving was done on a set in front of a green screen and so the actor was able to get by without any professional race car driver's training. “I actually didn't even get into a car the whole time I was in Europe. No, I got into a car…I just was never behind the wheel,” joked Hirsch who confessed he’s normally a very safe – and slow – driver.
