Iron Man Movie Review

Robert Downey Jr delivers an incredible performance as a billionaire playboy inventor who develops a conscience in the action adventure film Iron Man directed by Jon Favreau (Zathura, Elf). While it’s not exactly a case of art imitating life, Downey and his at times troubled past seem to fit snugly within the confines of the lead character in Iron Man – weapons manufacturer Tony Stark. Clearly the first in what will be a series of Iron Man movies, this origin story sets things up nicely, and should satisfy knowledgeable Iron Man fans and those, like myself, who’ve never even seen an issue of the comic book. Alice Braga and Rodrigo Santoro Talk Redbelt
Alice Braga (I Am Legend) and Rodrigo Santoro (300) play brother and sister in David Mamet’s latest drama, Redbelt. Braga plays Sondra, a struggling fashion designer and wife of Mike Terry (Chiwetel Ejiofor), the owner of - and lead instructor at - a Jiu-Jitsu academy. Santoro tackles the part of a real bad dude named Bruno Silva. Bruno owns a night club but his really money comes from his unscrupulous deals as a fight promoter. Bruno’s business partners force Mike’s hands and make the highly skilled Jiu-Jitsu trainer do something he vowed never to do – step into the ring and fight for money.
