Ryan Phillippe Talks About Stop-Loss

Ryan Phillippe plays Sgt Brandon King, a soldier ready to leave his days in the military behind when the US government stop-losses his exit from the service, in writer/director Kimberly Peirce’s Stop-Loss. Peirce did extensive research on the subject and interviewed many soldiers who were stop-lossed and who chose, rather than spend any more time in Iraq, to go AWOL. Christopher McDonald Gets Evil in Superhero Movie
Christopher McDonald’s never done a spoof movie before and he wasn’t even supposed to play a large role in Superhero Movie, but one meeting with writer/director Craig Mazin changed all that. McDonald sat down with Mazin, a man he describes as one of the funniest people he’s ever met, and although he was originally set to play a small part in the film, Mazin switched things up and offered him Lou Landers/Hourglass, one of the film’s starring roles.
