Summer Movie Preview - 15 Big Films

The summer of 2007 may go down in history as the summer of the sequels. Hollywood's busiest season arrives early with the May 4th release of Spider-Man 3, the first in a string of big budget sequels that includes Shrek the Third, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, Ocean's Thirteen, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, Evan Almighty, Live Free or Die Hard, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, The Bourne Ultimatum and Rush Hour 3. Films with familiar themes and faces will be leading the box office charge, but there's also room for fresh ideas. Knocked Up, Transformers, The Simpsons Movie, and Stardust have built up plenty of buzz leading up to their releases without the benefit of built-in audiences. Kirsten Dunst Returns as MJ in Spider-Man 3
Mary Jane's come a long way from the first Spider-Man movie and so has the actress who plays her onscreen. Kirsten Dunst has kept busy in front of the cameras since the early 90s when, at the tender age of 11, she captured the attention of audiences by starring opposite Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise in Interview with the Vampire. Sarah Polley Climbs Into the Director's Chair with Away from Her
Actress Sarah Polley makes her feature film screenwriting and directorial debut with the dramatic movie, Away from Her. Polley adapted the screenplay from Alice Munro's short story, The Bear Came Over the Mountain, which tells the story of a longtime married couple facing the ordeal of having to deal with Alzheimer's disease.
