Sandra Bullock Has a Premonition

Monday March 12, 2007
Sandra Bullock stars as a wife and mother whose life is turned upside down in the twisted thriller, Premonition. Written by Bill Kelly (Blast from the Past), directed by Mennan Yapo, and co-starring Australian actor Julian McMahon (Nip/Tuck and the upcoming Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer film), Premonition asks audiences to consider a very interesting question: How would you feel if you found out a loved one died and then upon waking up the next morning, you discover them alive? That's something Bullock's character has to deal with in what producer Ashok Amritraj describes as a film similar in tone to the old Hitchcock movies.

  • Mike Binder Interview - Man About Town
Writer/director Mike Binder's Man About Town starring Ben Affleck and Rebecca Romijn is a direct to video release although it was never intended to be. Binder originally wrote the script for the film at the request of Steven Spielberg, but Spielberg decided directing Man About Town wasn't for him and so Binder took on the job himself. Binder describes how the original writing assignment went down: "I became friendly with Steven Spielberg. I acted in Minority Report and he liked Mind of the Married Man and he would call me. He loved Curb Your Enthusiasm and he'd call me on Wednesdays, several times during the run of the show for two years, and we'd talk about it. I live not far from him and he said, 'Let's do a movie that's a cross between Curb Your Enthusiasm, Mind of the Married Man and the world that we live in.'"
