Inside The Lake House with Sandra Bullock

Monday June 12, 2006
A doctor and an architect living two years apart communicate by way of letters left in a mailbox in The Lake House starring Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves. Bullock, no stranger to the romantic movie genre, views The Lake House as an epic love story. In Bullock's words, The Lake House is about "possibilities and impossibilities and the decisions we make on our way to finding the right person."

And speaking of finding the right person, Bullock says she never felt any pressure to get married or have children. And, according to Bullock, marriage to Jesse James hasn't changed her all that much. "I was so happy before I got married and so satisfied and in the best place of my life, that the timing was such that I met someone that complemented me and gave me a nice net to feel more adventurous with, like in life. I went, 'Wow, I've got someone who's watching my back.' Even though I'll take care of myself, it's just I have this idea that I have someone that I know supports me."
