Jennifer Aniston on The Break-Up

Thursday June 1, 2006
Even Jennifer Aniston admits that starring in a movie called The Break-Up is a bit ironic. Aniston got the script for the Vince Vaughn comedy while she was going through a tough time personally. "It was ironic," recalls Aniston. "I mean, at the time it was something I thought about, you know? You kind of can't believe [it] when I first got the phone call that a movie called 'The Break-Up was coming. I kind of laughed and thought, ‘That’s funny.’ And sure enough it was. I kind of found it something like a sign or something to do it because, in a way, it was a cathartic thing. I felt very lucky in a way. If this had come to me at any other time in my life, I don’t know if I would have been able to really get it for myself on the level that I would have wanted to as an actor.” Read On...

  • Inside the Action Thriller District B13
District B13 is set in Paris in 2013 and stars Cyril Raffaelli as Damien, a member of a specialized, highly trained police squadron who must defuse a neutron bomb held by one of the city’s most powerful gangs. The film, which is receiving overwhelmingly positive reviews (as I type this it stands at 100% fresh on the RottenTomatoes scale), features an interesting - and little known - martial arts style called Parkour. "The spirit is really close to martial arts," explained David Belle who plays Leito, a thug who helps Damien track down the bomb. "I started it in 1988. It's an art that my father transmitted that I’ve been practicing for 18 years now. You have to start working on your physical condition and then let your instincts guide you."
