2005 - The Year in Movies

Wednesday December 28, 2005
Even though box office receipts were down and there were more big budget misses than hits, there were still good things to celebrate about the movies of 2005. This is my look back at the year in films with an analysis of what worked, what let us down, and what we wish we could have avoided at all costs.

  • The Best Supporting Actors and Actresses of 2005
Of all of my personal Best Of lists for 2005, the supporting actor and actress Top 5 lists were probably the easiest to compile. It may not have been a great year for leading actresses, however women in supporting roles fared much better. As for supporting actors, there were three or four more who could have made my list but I do feel good about the five who ultimately wound up filling the five spots.
