Richard Kelly on "Domino" and "Southland Tales"

Wednesday July 20, 2005
Richard Kelly wasn't the first screenwriter to give "Domino" a shot, but he was the last - and that's all that counts. Tony Scott hired the writer/director of "Donnie Darko" to take on the project after hearing Kelly's unique approach to the Domino Harvey story. Kelly confirms "Domino" is definitely dark, going as far as to say it's "a very subversive film." He also said he isn't sure how the real Domino Harvey's death will affect the film, but he confirmed he hasn't been called in for any re-writes. Interview with Effects Guys Richard Taylor and Howard Berger
The 2005 San Diego Comic Con was the place to be if you wanted the inside scoop on upcoming films. Disney was one of the studios on hand promoting their slate of soon-to-be-released movies and brought Richard Taylor from Weta Workshop and Howard Berger of KNB Effects down to San Diego to discuss their work on the heavily anticipated movie, "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe."

Check out what Comic Con veteran Taylor (he put in his fair share of appearances at the Con promoting "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy) and Berger had to say about working together to bring "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" to the big screen:

Greg Harrison follows up "Groove," his feature film directorial debut, with the indie drama "November," starring Courteney Cox Arquette, James LeGros, and Anne Archer (Pictured: Courteney Cox Arquette İSony Pictures Classics).

Cox Arquette dresses down and gets serious in this psychological thriller, playing a photographer who suffers a traumatic loss. As she deals with the life-changing event, she begins to question exactly what happened, what's real, and what's merely an illusion created by her confused mind. Read More...
