Richard Kelly on "Domino" and "Southland Tales"
Wednesday July 20, 2005
Richard Kelly wasn't the first screenwriter to give "Domino" a shot, but he was the last - and that's all that counts. Tony Scott hired the writer/director of "Donnie Darko" to take on the project after hearing Kelly's unique approach to the Domino Harvey story. Kelly confirms "Domino" is definitely dark, going as far as to say it's "a very subversive film." He also said he isn't sure how the real Domino Harvey's death will affect the film, but he confirmed he hasn't been called in for any re-writes.
