Movie Review: "Herbie Fully Loaded"
Friday June 24, 2005
Disney’s trying to revive a long-slumbering franchise with their latest kid-targeted comedy, “Herbie Fully Loaded.” The adorable Volkswagen Bug that captured the imagination of audiences during the 60s and 70s tries hard to drive its way into the hearts of a new generation of fans. And, for the most part, it succeeds. Read More:Interview with "Yes" Star Joan Allen
If Joan Allen's name isn't mentioned when it comes to awards at the end of the year, then something fishy's going on. She delivered an amazing performance in the ensemble piece, "The Upside of Anger," and nails the part of a woman trapped in a loveless marriage who finds passion in the arms of a stranger in Sally Potter's romantic drama, "Yes."Told in loose iambic pentameter, Potter wrote "Yes" immediately following the events of 9/11 and uses the film to examine how we deal with people from other cultures, religions, and political backgrounds.

We've also got a few new pics from "War of the Worlds" as well as new posters from some upcoming films for you to check out:"Bewitched" Movie Review
Okay, it's not the best movie of the year. It's not even the best movie released in the last two weeks. But it's not the worst film of the year and the movie that'll break Nicole Kidman's career, as some would have you believe. "Bewitched" is just light, fluffy, 'no-brain required' fare that's good for taking in as a matinee (I don't think I'd pay full price to see it, but I'd fork over the reduced matinee rate without regretting it). Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell make for an unlikely onscreen pair and the chemistry that should be there isn't, yet they do manage to generate enough laughs to keep the movie flowing.IN OTHER NEWS

Matt Dillon Talks About "Herbie Fully Loaded"
Matt Dillon takes his place in a long line of Disney bad guys with his role as Trip Murphy in "Herbie Fully Loaded." "Herbie's" not the kind of movie we're used to seeing Dillon co-star in but Dillon admits playing the role of the villain in a Disney movie was fun to do. Dillon loved playing a conceited, narcissistic character and one that his young nieces and nephews would actually be allowed into a theater to see. Read More:

Michael Keaton on "Herbie," "Batman" and "Beetlejuice"
Michael Keaton stars as Lindsay Lohan and Breckin Meyer's race car driving dad in the Disney comedy, "Herbie Fully Loaded." We haven't seen a heck of a lot of Keaton in movies recently and he claims that's because he wasn't pleased with his work product. "I had to sit back and look at some of the things I was doing and I thought, ‘That wasn’t very good. I wasn’t very good in that,’ and I don’t like to not respect myself,” explained Keaton.Keaton said the Disney movie "Herbie Fully Loaded," which races into theaters on June 22nd, was one he really enjoyed working on. He not only liked the idea of starring in a Disney film, but also had a great time working with his young co-star, Lindsay Lohan. In this interview in support of "Herbie," Keaton discusses working with Lohan, co-starring with a car, the possibility of a "Beetlejuice" sequel, and his take on the "Batman" movies:

Lindsay Lohan on "Herbie Fully Loaded" and the Media
Lindsay Lohan returns to the land of Disney movies with her starring role in "Herbie Fully Loaded," the latest entry in "The Love Bug" film franchise. Lohan plays the daughter of a NASCAR racer who finds Herbie on the scrap heap, falls for the lovable bug, and teams up with him to take on NASCAR.Speaking of Lindsay Lohan... Lohan's physical attributes have been the subject of a lot of gossip and speculation recently. Even her work in "Herbie" fell under a blanket of 'reduction' suspension. Seems a rumor circulating on the Internet had her PG-13 rated assets being reduced to a kid-friendly 'G' rating by way of a little magic in the editing room. But "Herbie Fully Loaded" director Angela Robinson said the rumor is rubbish. Robinson said there was never any talk of altering Lohan's outfit or making other adjustments during the editing process. As for Lohan, she says she's pretty tired of being portrayed as a partyer. "I’m not some crazy Tara Reid-esque party girl and I want to be in this for the long run," said Lohan. Read More:
