Evan Rachel Wood ("Thirteen") and Erika Christensen ("The Perfect Score") play sisters in writer/director Mike Binder's "The Upside of Anger," based very loosely on Binder's childhood. Binder's experience of being raised by divorced parents inspired him to write about how a family copes with anger and other strong emotions. In these interviews, Wood and Christensen talk about their onscreen mom, Joan Allen, and working with Kevin Costner:Kevin Costner Discusses "The Upside of Anger"
Kevin Costner and baseball movies seem to go together like, well, baseball and apple pie.
In the dramatic movie, "The Upside of Anger," Costner once again takes on the role of a baseball player, though this time around his character's a retired jock who now works as a radio DJ. How does he feel about portraying yet another baseball player on the big screen? Costner talks about that and about working with Joan Allen and a cast made up of mostly women in this interview for "The Upside of Anger."ALSO OF INTEREST:
One on One with Gerard Butler from "Dear Frankie"
After speaking to Gerard Butler about his role in "Dear Frankie," I’ve settled on the opinion there ought to be a law requiring Scottish actors to always use their natural accents in roles. So what if it doesn’t fit the character? Butler, with his warmth and charm, could pull it off. Butler’s as pleasant an interview as you’d expect, answering questions that ranged from relating to his character in "Dear Frankie," to inspiring an extremely dedicated group of fans on the Internet, to starring in "The Phantom of the Opera" and the upcoming "Beowulf and Grendel" and "Burns" movies.IN OTHER NEWS:
The Ladies of "The Pacifier"
Lauren Graham was last seen on the big screen opposite Billy Bob Thornton in "Bad Santa" where she played a bartender who was sexually attracted to men in Santa suits. In "The Pacifier," Graham's character is much more controlled about her urges, but she still manages to end up with the guy. As Vin Diesel's onscreen love interest, Graham not only gets to bat her eyelashes and play the romantic lead, she also gets in on a little of the action by showing off some smooth hand-to-hand combat skills.Vin Diesel Pulls Babysitting Duty in "The Pacifier"
The star of such action movies as "Fast and the Furious," "XXX," and "The Chronicles of Riddick," Vin Diesel shows off a softer, gentler side in the Disney comedy, "The Pacifier." "The Pacifier" marks Diesel's first real family-friendly movie. As a Navy SEAL who is given the duty of protecting five kids who have just lost their dad, Diesel gets to change diapers, deal with rebellious teenagers, fall in love, and tangle with a duck. Yes, a duck.ALSO OF INTEREST:
