Kate Beckinsale (last seen in "Van Helsing") makes an appearance as legendary actress Ava Gardner and has the good fortune of being involved in some of the more emotional scenes of the film. Feeling a bit like Santa Claus, I made my 'Best Of' lists and checked them twice, three times - even four. But unlike Mr. Claus, I'm not keeping track of who's been naughty, only who's been very, very nice. Personally, I'm not a big fan of the 'Worst Of' lists. Sampedro was a quadriplegic who fought for the right to die with dignity, and his story as told in "The Sea Inside" is winning critical acclaim as one of the best foreign films of 2004.
