The indie sci-fi/thriller "Primer" has been called "inventive, tantalizing and ingeniously directed." It won the Grand Jury Prize at this year's Sundance Film Festival and critics have stumbled over themselves heaping praise on first-time filmmaker Shane Carruth. Working with just a $7,000 budget and handling every aspect of the film himself (he even composed the music), Carruth managed to create a thought-provoking film that works on more than one level.
