"The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" remained in first place after the Christmas holiday weekend. "The Return of the King" helped make this a record-breaking weekend, with receipts up approximately 8% over the same period last year. Steve Martin's newest family flick, "Cheaper by the Dozen," was the top earner among the newcomers released on Christmas Day, outperforming the other newbies - "Paycheck," "Peter Pan," and "Cold Mountain."
